So this week has been... Well just like any other week really! Wet, cold, and more wet. Well, now that I think about it, it maybe was a bit different. We had some more stormy weather than usual. For some reason the trees here don't handle wind well, and knocked down quite a number of trees in the area. Probably average a tree a block, so the next few days were filled with chainsaw sounds and many a branches in the roads. It also rained non stop per usual. Fern Ridge Lake, the lake in between Veneta and Eugene, has just about completely filled back up. They drain it every fall, and now I can see why! The river in between the two towns we cover mostly is just about reaching the overpass, and every spot that could possibly hold water now is over flowing with water. So yup! Oregon!
As for missionary work, we did some more tracting, and picked up a family of 3 and another investigator that seem pretty solid so we have met with them once and the lessons went over pretty well! Were going to met with them again this week! So yeah, neat stuff!
For Christmas were going over early to our ward mission leader's house and spending the morning with them! They are an awesome family, have an 18 year old, 17 year old and 14 year old boys, and then a 9 year old girl. Super fun family, so we are stoked to spend the morning with them! I think the mom has adopted me as their son, because last night we had dinner with them and she was talking about how she's seen me change and my testimony grow since I met them way back in the early September at the beginning of my mission and she started crying. My mom always cried over everything, and she reminded me of her a bit when that happened. Great family, absolutely love them to death!
Thanks for all the support and love you all have! I wish you a very Merry Christmas!
Love,
Elder schick
