Hello everyone! first of all, thank you so much for all the birthday wishes! the letters, packages and emails were much appreciated! its was a great 20th birthday for sure!
As for the week, its was pretty normal. there was a few things that were kind of cool though! wednesday we had a specialized training back in Eugene, so we got to drive back up to my old zone, and see some of the missionaries i spent my last 18 weeks with! its was good and fun! on saturday, we helped a guy out on his ranch (melrose is farmland pretty much). we helped him replace and dig new fencing around one of his pastures. it rained off an on, but we had a good pair of jeans, a good jacket and some rad cowboyboots we got to borrow and we kept pretty dry for the most part! but, we got covered in mud. anwways, it was some good service, i enjoy doing ranch work like that, you dont really get the opportunity to do that living in the suburbs of phoenix very much... but he then took us to red robin for dinner after and we feasted like muddy kings!
Sunday was my birthday! i didnt really do anything special, cant really do much as a missionary anyways but the sisters decorated our apartment door, and our dinner had some fun with my birthday as well! is was nice, nothing too crazy and pretty mellow.
our investigators are doing pretty well, and we might have some on date for baptsim in the next week or so! were teaching a young family and then several older people, but they are all pretty solid people and i enjoy getting to know and help them out!
anyways, thanks again for the birthday wishes and all the love and support everyone shows to me!
Love,
Elder Schick
